Tenor Horns

The JP Range of Tenor Horns includes four models aimed at providing a suitable instrument for all levels of players.

The JP072 Eb Tenor Horn is the perfect starter instrument and is very popular within the UK education sector. The instrument features top sprung nickel valves and a lyre box.

The JP172 MKIV Eb Tenor Horn comes recommended by Mark Armstrong (formerly of Grimethorpe, Fodens and Black Dyke Band) who describes it as having a "great feel that promotes reassurance and stability throughout."Although a widely similar specification to the JP072, the sound of JP172 benefits from certain technical adjustments ensuring a slightly warmer sound.

The JP272 Eb Tenor Horn marks several significant changes to the two lower specification models with full construction from high grade 80:20 brass and a one piece bell delivering a high level of performance. Martin Armstrong describes it as "A professional standard instrument with an extremely economical price tag."

Finally the JP372 Sterling Eb Tenor Horn represents the flagship JP Tenor Horn which benefits from the input and direction of Paul Riggett of Sterling Musical Instruments. See the JP Sterling collaborations page for further information about our partnership. The JP373 features an exclusive Sterling design leadpipe, hand spun bell and stainless steel valves.

All JP Tenor Horns are supplied with a mouthpiece and case with many available in a choice of finishes.
