John Packer has been shortlisted for a UK Business Award 'Best Growth Business 2018'.
The John Packer company has seen significant growth over the last two years, owing to increased exporting of own brand 'JP Musical Instruments' to a global dealer network.
JP Musical Instruments are now supplied to more than 50 countries via a network of over 300 dealers. The company also has a fulfilment warehouse in the US alongside two UK warehouses.
Rob Hanson - one of three company Directors, that includes John Packer and Annie Gardner - said: "Taking our UK B2C business and turning that into an international B2B brand and distribution was a lot more difficult than we first thought, but we learnt from our experience and took advice from the UK Trade & Investment.
"We have very close staff working relationships within our Company; many of which have years of experience in the music world. We owe a big thank you to all the staff that have contributed to our success.
"Going forward we are looking into amalgamating our UK premises to one site, providing customers and staff with a stable facility to continue our growth."
The winner will be announced at the Taunton Deane Business Awards ceremony in Taunton on June 28th, 2018.
