We have a new piccolo trumpet! And this time it’s a piston valve model with some exciting Smith-Watkins additions. The JP254SW is geared towards the advanced student and is perfect for orchestral work, brass quintets, solo performance and much more.
As with our other Smith-Watkins models, the JP254SW has been developed in collaboration with Dr Richard Smith and features an exclusive Smith-Watkins design leadpipe. As a result, intonation is excellent providing accurate tuning throughout the range. 4 interchangeable shanks (2 trumpet and 2 cornet) are also supplied as standard to ensure the instrument is flexible is performing a wide range of repertoire.
The instrument comes supplied in our new JP851 Pro Double Trumpet Casewhich gives ample room for a second instrument or selection of accessories. These new design cases are lightweight, robust and ergonomic and have been very popular following their release. 2 mouthpieces (4B cornet and 7C trumpet) are also included as standard.
